Some steps in Midfire are written by Claude, the model Midfire uses: drafting the first read of a new decision, generating , the hearing, checking a document and the Midfire bot. Everything else works without it, including your answers, calls, commitments, reviews and export.
What Midfire does on its own
- When one Claude model is failing, Midfire runs the same step on another Claude model, so many steps still finish.
- A step that fails leaves what you wrote as it was.
How you can tell
- A dot appears on the help button in the top bar. Open help, and its first card says when the trouble started and links to Claude's live status page.
- Beside each step that uses Claude, one line says the step may fail or take longer.
- When Claude is down altogether, the same message runs across the top of every page.
- A step that cannot finish says why, so you know whether to try again or to wait.
What to do
- Keep working on everything that does not need Claude: the frame, your answers, the calls, the people you ask.
- Try the step again in a few minutes.
- Follow the live status page, which the help card links to, for the end of the incident.
If a step keeps failing after Claude's status page says the incident is over, message Greg from help.
