Your decisions are yours. At any time, an Editor or a workspace admin can download everything they can open as a zip of plain files.
Download the export
- Open Export.
- Select "export everything as plain files".
- The zip downloads at once, named after your workspace and the date.
Export works in a trial, on a subscription and after a subscription ends.
What is in the zip
- A README that says what each folder holds.
- One Markdown file per decision in
decisions/, with the full record (frame, paths, , the commitment and its reviews) and a readable summary. - One file per decision in
collaboration/, recording who could open it, every request for input, what each person answered and when, what they imagined going wrong, and the history of changes. - Your published briefs in
publications/, exactly as they were published. - Your collections in
collections/. - Your company context in
company/.
What each person's export holds
An export holds what the person exporting can open. Colleagues' answers follow the same rule as in the app: you see them once you have given your own. The README says so, so a reader never mistakes a missing answer for no answer.
The files are plain text and need nothing from Midfire to read. Keep them in your own archive, search them, or move them to another tool.
