Members and Folders are in Settings for workspace admins.
Roles
Each member has one role:
- Viewer reads the decisions they have access to.
- gives input on decisions shared with them.
- Editor creates decisions, and edits those shared with them as an editor.
Workspace admin is a flag on top of a role. It adds managing members, invitations, folders and billing. Starting a decision still takes the Editor role.
Invite people
- In Members, paste up to 25 addresses and choose their role.
- Each person receives an invitation and joins by signing in with that address.
- Pending invitations are listed with a link you can copy, a way to change the role, and a way to revoke the invitation.
- To bring someone into one decision, use Share on that decision. People invited that way appear under pending invitations too.
- Each person can send up to 50 invitations and shares a day during the free trial, and 200 a day on a subscription. The count starts again after 24 hours.
Change or remove a member
Change a role on the member's row, and they are emailed what they can now do. When you remove someone, Midfire first asks who takes over each decision they were following through. Their contributions stay on the record.
Folders
A folder decides who can read the committed decisions filed in it.
- Everyone in the workspace lets every member read them.
- Restricted lets only the members you pick, plus workspace admins.
Drafts are never opened through a folder. A decision in progress opens only to its creator and the people it was shared with. Restricting a folder also leaves alone any access already granted through a decision's Share.
You can rename a folder, create one, and delete one once it holds no decisions.
